Employee Spotlight: Kevin Redd
Posted on
This month’s employee spotlight focuses on the founder of the company and co-owner Kevin Redd. Kevin, along with his brother Randy, grew up around cars his entire life working at his parents Amoco station washing windows and pumping gas before he could even drive. When Kevin started having ideas for parts of his own, he enrolled at Lanier Tech to study machining so he could learn to make his ideas a reality.
To build capital, Kevin and Randy started by making racing parts for another company. While working with their Dad restoring cars, they saw the challenges of finding pulleys and brackets that would line up. They already had experience making pulleys and brackets for someone else and saw the need for a complete pulley system in the aftermarket auto industry.
They launched Concept One Pulley Systems in 2001. Today you can still find Kevin in the office every day. While he doesn’t run the machines anymore, he is still a hands on manager looking at production, shipping, supply chain, marketing and planning for the future!
Kevin lives in Dawsonville, Georgia with his wife Sharon and daughters Kinzie and Addison. When he’s not at work, Kevin loves to be outside with his family hiking, camping, hunting and enjoying nature. Kevin is also an ordained minister for a small home church. He has worked doing outreach ministry for the homeless and high risk communities for over 10 years.
